unauthorized access, and charges to your phone line.  
5. Use the handset number keypad to enter the telephone number (up to 20 digits,  
including pauses) and press the MEMORY button again to save the number. The unit  
beeps to confirm.

• Properly pack your unit. Include any cables, etc., which were originally provided with the

When you place the handset in the base, the unit verifies its security code. After power  
outage or battery replacement, you should place the handset in the base for about 20  
seconds to reset the code.

If you get a busy signal, and want to keep dialing the number, press REDIAL to dial the  
number directly.  
6. To enter another number in a different memory location, return to step 1 and repeat  
the process.

• If you are using AC (electrical) power, make sure that the unit is connected to a  
non-switched electrical outlet. Unplug the AC power converter from the unit and  
plug it back in.  
• Heating ducts and other metal construction can shield radio signals.  
• You’re too close to appliances such as microwaves, stoves, computers, etc.  
• Atmospheric conditions, such as strong storms.  
• Base is installed in the basement or lower floor of the house.  
• Base is plugged into an AC outlet with other electronic devices.  
• Baby monitor is using the same frequency.  
• Handset battery is low.  
INSTALLATION NOTE: Some cordless telephones operate at  
frequencies that may cause or receive interference with nearby  
TVs, microwave ovens, and VCRs. To minimize or prevent such  
interference, the base of the cordless telephone should not be  
placed near or on top of a TV, microwave ovens, or VCR. If such  
interference continues, move the cordless telephone farther away  
from these appliances.  
If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be  
determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the  
interference by one or more of the following measures:  
• Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna (that is, the antenna for radio or television that is  
“receiving” the interference).  
• Reorient or relocate and increase the separation between the telecommunications equipment  
and receiving antenna.  
• Connect the telecommunications equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to  
which the receiving antenna is connected.  
If these measures do not eliminate the interference, please consult your dealer or an experienced  
radio/television technician for additional suggestions. Also, the Federal Communications Commission  
has prepared a helpful booklet, “How To Identify and Resolve Radio/TV Interference Problems.” This

When the in use/charge indicator on the base is lit, the handset is either in use or  
charging. The in use/charge indicator on the base flashes when you receive a call.  
Changing a Stored Number  
Certain other communications devices may also use the 2.4 Ghz  
frequency for communication, and, if not properly set, these  
devices may interfere with each other and/or your new telephone.  
If you are concerned with interference, please refer to the owner’s  
manual for these devices on how to properly set channels to avoid  
interference. Typical devices that may use the 2.4 Ghz frequency  
for communication include wireless audio/video senders, wireless  
computer networks, multi-handset cordless telephone systems, and  
some long-range cordless telephone systems.  
• Insure your shipment for loss or damage. Thomson Inc accepts no liability in case of damage  
or loss.

Product Registration:  
• Please complete and mail the Product Registration Card packed with your unit. It will make  
it easier to contact you should it ever be necessary. The return of the card is not required for  
warranty coverage.  
If you subscribe to the Call Waiting service from your local telephone you will hear a  
beep to indicate another call is waiting on the line. To connect the waiting call, press  
the FLASH button on the handset and your original call is put on hold. You may switch  
back and forth between the two calls by pressing the FLASH button.  
Inserting a Pause in the dialing Sequence  
• Avoid sources of noise and heat, such as motors, fluorescent lighting, microwave  
ovens, heating appliances and direct sunlight.  
• Make sure the telephone line cord is connected to the base unit and the modular

powder because this will damage the finish.  
Licensing  
Press the PAUSE# button once to insert a delay in the dialing sequence of a stored  
telephone number. A pause is needed to wait for a dial tone (for example after you  
dial 9 for an outside line, or to wait for a computer access tone). Each pause counts  
as 1 digit in the dialing sequence. If you need a longer pause, press the PAUSE#  
button twice.

When the phone is ON, press the VOLUME (left or right arrow) on the handset to adjust  
the volume of the handset’s earpiece. There are four settings. Press the right arrow to  
increase the volume and left arrow to decrease the volume.

has been disconnected at the network interface.  
For body worn operation, this phone has been tested and meets the FCC RF exposure guidelines

The feature is useful only if you have pulse (rotary) service. Temporary Tone Dialing  
enables pulse (rotary) service phone users to access touchtone services offered by  
banks, credit card companies, etc. For example, when you call your bank you may need  
to enter your bank account number. Temporarily switching to touchtone mode allows  
you to send your number.

NOTE: If desired, gather the extra telephone line and power adaptor  
cord and store inside the wall mounting pedestal.  
• Move closer to the base.  
Press the page button on the base. The handset will beep for about two minutes or until  
you press TALK on the handset or press the page button on the base.

• Reset the battery. Unplug the battery and plug it in again after five seconds.  
• Reset the power supply. Unplug the supply and plug it in again after five seconds.
